Celebrating the Arrival of Jordan Mae!

I fully intend to come back and tell her birth story in words, but for now it will be in pictures. Jordan Mae was born by cesarean section on April 6, 2010. She surprised us by coming four weeks early but I'm so happy to say she is healthy and was able to come home with us right away. My blog is a bit behind so I will start where I left off...

First of all, we finished her room a few weeks ago. I loved the idea of the bird theme as soon as I saw the bedding and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

My gift to Jason

On Easter Sunday I decided to have my oldest sister take some pregnancy photos of Jason and I. It ended up being a cloudy and rainy day so we just took a few inside for the time being. I thought we would have time to get some more later but little did we know...

Our little miracle at last

"Before you were conceived, I wanted you.
Before you were born, I loved you.
Before you were here an hour, I would die for you.
That is the miracle of life."

Signs of Spring

I don't know if there is a better time than Spring to be on the verge of having a baby. It just fits, doesn't it? The world is becoming colorful again after the gloomy winter months. Flowers are beginning to peek out from the ground (or those might be weeds if you are looking at our yard, but some weeds are pretty). The Bradford Pears on our street bloomed and have now left what appears to be white confetti on the street and sidewalks thanks to the kite flying weather this last week. The sun is out and the air is warm. But best of all I saw this happen in the last couple of days.

That's our Angel Tree we planted last year on our due date. I waited and waited for it to bloom all summer and then the day before I had my IUI in August it finally did. I took it as a good omen. Once again our tree is brightening our backyard with signs of life, hope and beauty.
